Every month, we’ll be spotlighting someone from the LERETA roster. This month, get to know Shawn, our Senior Flood Research Analyst
1. What is your role with LERETA? I assist our customers with flood-related questions as well as offering problem solving and resolution to help them achieve their desired rating for lending/insurance purposes. Also, being a Certified Floodplain Manager, I give insight to best flood rating practices to help protect the customer’s investment from flood-related risks.
2. How long have you worked with LERETA? I’ve worked with LERETA for about 4.5 years, but I’ve been in the flood industry for 25+ years.
3. What is your favorite thing about working at LERETA? My favorite thing about working at LERETA is the team I’m a part of. They are all very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic in ensuring the customer has a great experience with our service. They truly are the superstars!
4. What do you like to do in your free time? I enjoy playing basketball whenever I can. The team element, I feel, truly helps in all aspects of life, including professionally. I also enjoy hitting Town Lake for paddle boarding and the occasional craft beer. Huge Seahawks and Longhorns fan! #GoHawks #HookEm.
5. Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I’m still located here as a remote employee. This city has so much to offer for entertainment. Dining here is wide ranging. The events around are some of the most world-renowned. From South by Southwest (SXSW) to tailgating for Texas Football to the many wine & food festivals, there is always something going on that will keep you entertained.
