This month, meet Tamykko Henderson—Tax Payment Supervisor and the person helping ensure tax payments are processed accurately, on time, and in line with client and regulatory requirements.
What do you do in your role with LERETA?
As a Tax Payment Supervisor, I supervise a payment team of 11 processors, overseeing the accurate and timely processing of tax payments while ensuring compliance with LERETA company policies, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Our team is responsible for managing tax payment operations and resolving payment issues. I am also responsible for monitoring workflow and driving continuous process improvements to support organizational goals and client satisfaction.
How long have you worked with LERETA?
This September will mark my 13th year with LERETA.
What is your favorite thing about your job or working at LERETA in general?
My favorite thing about my job is the people and the work atmosphere that LERETA provides. I also enjoy the problem-solving aspect of my job, whether I’m working with a client, a taxing agency, or my teammates.
Tell us about your family.
My family is my “happy place”! I am the proud mother of two who are all grown up now. My daughter is a 39-year-old Operations Manager for Cedar Crest Golf Course and was recently married. My son is a 37-year-old entrepreneur and owner of Day1Cutz Barbershop. Between them, I have six grandchildren who keep Gigi on her toes.
What do you like to do in your free time?
In my free time, I like to travel, shop, and spend time relaxing with my family and friends.
Where did you grow up and/or where do you live now?
I am a Texan, born and raised. I grew up in the Oak Cliff area and now reside in Lancaster. When I was growing up, it was a new community, and everyone moved in around the same time, so we became like family. Many of us still keep in touch today.
