Every month, we’ll be spotlighting someone from the LERETA roster.

This month get to know Warren May, our Senior Data Conversion Programmer. Get to know Warren, below!

  1. What is your role with LERETA? I help write programming maps that convert Agency / Jurisdiction data files into a standard to load to the Property Tax Database (PTDB). This data can then be used for Current Tax Amounts and Delinquency Amounts. Parcels are then easily found and can be paid.
  2. How long have you worked with LERETA? I’ve been with LERETA since 2014 but I’ve been in the tax data conversion business for more than 25 years.
  3. What is your favorite thing about your job? I love that LERETA gives us the flexibility to work from home. I live in Atlanta and it’s not a lot of fun to drive in this city.
  4. Tell us about your family. I am married going on 28 years. I have 4 children, the oldest being 26 and the youngest surprise at 5.
  5. What do you like to do in your free time? We enjoy walking Silver Comet Trail. It’s a paved walking trail that starts in Smyrna, GA that goes all the way to the Alabama/Georgia state line in Cedartown, GA.
  6. Where did you grow up and where do you live now? I was born and raised in Dallas, GA.  I have lived in this small town all my life.  If you want to see some of our town, you can watch DC’s Stargirl series, which was filmed here in town.  I’ve since moved a little way down the road from where I grew up and where I bought my first and current home.
