Dalton Parker, Data Visualization Engineer
What do you do in your role with LERETA?
Working as a Data Visualization Engineer on the data services team, I help manage our Microsoft Power Platform environment (primarily Power BI), gather business requirements for our data engineers to source and structure data, and develop queries that present that data in a clear and meaningful way.
How long have you worked with LERETA?
I’ve worked with LERETA full time for about a year and a half. Before that, I was a part-time intern during my last year of undergrad.
What is your favorite thing about your job or working at LERETA in general?
My favorite part of working at LERETA is my team. They’re a fun, smart group of people, and collaborating with them makes solving data challenges enjoyable.
Tell us about your family.
My wife and I have been married for a year and a half. We met in college, graduated the same year, and got married a few weeks after that.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy watching football and reading. I’ve also been getting more into woodworking.
Where did you grow up and/or where do you live now?
I grew up in southern Orange County and went to college in Riverside. After graduating and getting married, my wife and I moved to El Dorado Hills, just inland of Sacramento. I’ve been enjoying exploring northern California, including skiing in South Lake Tahoe.
