Every month, we’ll be spotlighting someone from the LERETA roster. This month, get to know Hank, our Tax Status Researcher!

1. What is your role with LERETA? I oversee the completion of TIQA tax IDs that require an acute attention to detail by performing quality control steps for each parcel to ensure that we have the correct information in our system. The importance of performing quality work ensures not only that we have the correct parcel for financial reasons but also because it alleviates any additional work that may be caused in other departments. In addition, I manage the delegating of work in TIQA to our overseas counterparts. During our pretransition to new systems, I also work to help ensure that the new system would be operational by performing tests and providing feedback to the appropriate team members.

2. How long have you worked with LERETA? Four years.

3. What is your favorite thing about working at LERETA? I love the attention to detail that my job requires and the satisfaction I get from knowing that what I do matters not only in my own department but in the company as a whole. Additionally, I’ve got a great boss, a steady workload, and a great work / life balance.

4. Tell us about your family. I met my wife while working at Accumatch in Dallas, TX and we have been married for almost two years come October. My wife currently works at LERETA as Lead Data Agency Specialist.

5. What do you like to do in your free time? I have eclectic interests when it comes to my free time…. I enjoy everything from riding my motorcycle, to fishing, to flying my drone as an FAA Drone Operator and working towards getting my FAA Drone Pilot’s license.

6. Where did you grow up? Currently I live in Birmingham, AL but I am originally from the Great State of Florida and have spent most of my life there. While my wife and I enjoy the clean fresh mountain air here in Birmingham and all the nature we get to watch from our kitchen window, we are planning on moving to Florida at some point in the future to be close to family and of course the beach. Growing up in Florida was absolutely the best. I’ve been fortunate enough to have lived in every corner of the state and have really been able to experience a lot of what Florida has to offer. Not much compares to eating a Florida orange while watching the sunset over the Gulf of America.
