Every month, we’ll be spotlighting someone from the LERETA roster. This month, get to know Jane Avery, our Team Lead for Claims & Lost Property.
- What is your role with LERETA? I perform lost property research with client resolution and review daily claims reporting for liability issues.
- How long have you worked with LERETA? I’ve been with LERETA for nearly ten years. Prior to that, I was with a company they acquired for ten years also.
- What is your favorite thing about your job? I enjoy taking an issue apart and putting the details together step by step. My team is a big part of that process. These are people I think of as family. I’ve also been blessed to work with several managers who believe in training employees and turning over job responsibilities. Two of my managers have been inspirational regarding needed process improvements. I still enjoy expanding my horizons at work.
- Tell us about your family. My son Chris lives in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl which is wonderful during vacation time. My three cats help keep me on my toes.
- What do you like to do in your free time? My first love was music and I’m a huge rock ‘n roll fan. i was a classically trained pianist throughout my college years and recently started playing and performing again after a 43-year hiatus.
- Where did you grow up? I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. It’s a beautiful, friendly area with seasonable weather and mountains and beaches two hours away.
